Join us for our next monthly meeting on January 21, 2025 at noon via Zoom. We will hear vocational talks from several members and "Build Better Friendships" as part of the Rotary Four-Way Test of the "Things we Think, Say, and Do". Vocational service in Rotary International is a commitment to using skills and expertise to help the community. It's a core part of Rotary's service to communities around the world. January is "Vocational Service" month in Rotary International.
Goals of vocational service:
- Promote ethical standards: Encourage high ethical standards in business and professions
- Recognize all occupations: Recognize the value of all useful occupations, not just those pursued by Rotarians
- Promote professional development: Guide and train others to find fulfilling employment
- Contribute to society: Use vocational talents to solve community problems
Activities of vocational service:
- Enhance knowledge: Rotarians can enhance their own knowledge through activities
- Guide and train others: Rotarians can guide and train others to find fulfilling employment
- Present awards: Rotary clubs can present awards to community members who exemplify professional achievement and high ethical standards
