Our Rotary D5890 will be hosting the 2022 Rotary International Convention in Houston, Texas on June 4 - 8, 2022.
We will be welcoming more than 28,000 from 170+ countries!
This convention has historically been an opportunity for Rotarians to network and plan service projects, as well as to highlight humanitarian causes among all areas of focus.

The saying goes that everything is “Bigger”, “Better” and “Friendlier” in Texas, and the goal of the Houston Host Organization Committee is to have each of you feel that every moment as our guest while in Houston! From the humble beginnings of this great city, Houston has been led by “People of Action” who have taken this City to great heights including, to the moon and back.

The City has plenty of activities to keep you entertained.  Visit Space Center Houston, the home of Johnson Space Center and the Astronauts.  Enjoy a night at the theater.  Houston features a world class symphony, opera, ballet and permanent theater company.  World class museums are within a short ride from the convention center.  Of course, you can watch the 2017 World Series Champion Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park which is walking distance from the Houston Convention Center.

Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the world with a vast range of cultures.  Houston’s diversity has resulted in some of the world’s best cuisine.  Houston’s vast array of restaurants include Creole, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, African, Caribbean, Argentinian and of course our very own Tex-Mex and world famous BBQ, to name a few.

Registration is now open and the fee is $425 without any additional luncheons.    Early registration ends on December 15, 2021. A $50 processing fee applies to each registrant (each person) who cancels on a registration. Requests to cancel registrants or Rotary-ticketed events must be received in writing by 30 April 2022.

Our club is host for one of the Hospitality Nights. In August we will have committee meetings to prepare for volunteering with several dinners hosted by our club and other volunteer opportunities, such as IAH Airport Greeters, Hobby Airport Greeters, escorts to the Flight Museum, safety directors for Dynamos Soccer, and more.  We need your help with this huge undertaking, so please find a spot for serving on our teams.
