Become a Member

Welcome to the Rotary District 5890 e-Club of Houston! Our club chartered on February 20, 2014.  

The e-Club provides on-line participation for those who have difficulties attending a traditional club on an in-person basis.  This flexibility aims to bring ex-members back to Rotary.   

Members:  Our e-Club has members in the Greater Houston area and across Texas, DeSoto, Fort Worth, El Paso,  Lufkin and Port Arthur.  We are represented in other USA states including Florida and Michigan; and, have international presence in Brazil, Guatemala, Ukraine and others. 

Transfers: Rotarians seeking transfer to the e-Club must have terminated former membership in good financial standing and termination must be visible in Rotary International database.

Meetings:  The e-Club online meetings are scheduled on the third Tuesday of every month at noon.   Members are encouraged to attend every meeting but required to attend at least once per quarter.

Fees:  The annual membership fee for e-Club is $300.00 USD.  The Rotary year is July 1 thru June 30.  

Donations: In addition, e-Club joins Rotary International in its commitment to eradicate Polio, as such we suggest members make an annual donation to Rotary International towards polio eradication and remediation.

 

How to Become a Member
You can become a member of the Rotary e-Club of Houston by following these 3 steps:
 
Step 1:  Look on the right of Home Page to blue box  “Join ”.  Beneath “Join” is New Members and use the drop down menu to select “Prospects”.  Submit an Inquiry.  This application fee helps us process your information to become a member of the club.  You will receive a confirmation email that we have received your inquiry for membership.
 
Step 2: Our Membership Chair is Silveria Guel who will contact you to discuss how to join and answer questions about Active Membership.  Applicants need to attend one zoom meeting (we only meet once a month on zoom).  This information is on our club website.  A Membership Application will be sent to you for completion.  This application requests basic information about yourself and your interests. We do not share your information with any third party.  Please pay the $50 application fee.  The Donate button is shown below.
 
Step 3:
a: The Board of Directors will review your application.  Once approved, please pay our e-Club's Annual Membership Fee of $300 by clicking the Donate button below. The dues go to help fund our e-Club service projects, Rotary International and Rotary District 5890.  If two or more applicants are in the same family, the dues are $300  for the first applicant and the additional family members are discounted to $200 per person.  If you are joining our e-club at any time other than the beginning of the Rotary year (July), please pay the prorated amount as indicated from our membership chair and click on the Donate button below.
 
b: Our Membership Chair will schedule your formal induction into our club during a zoom meeting or a social event for our club.
